CIPA’s mission is to encourage cooperative efforts and the free exchange of information, experience and expertise to help our members achieve, survive and prosper while also assisting the writing and marketing of their books through cooperative ventures, education and networking. Besides our regular monthly meetings with professional speakers and programs, roundtable discussions with experts in the publishing/writing fields, and networking with like-minded individuals.

Folks in this group have a special affinity for literature and literacy.  African Americans authors, writers & publishers have many challenges.  We're often underrepresented, sometimes overlooked, other times maligned, and periodically ensnared by our own ineptitudes.  We also have many more skills and gifts!  All in all, we still are who we are!!
